Checkpoint Systems launches intelligent customer reception system

Designed for the retail and health-care markets, TURN-O-MATIC PRO enables retailers to organize and measure service to customers more effectively than ever before. On arriving at the counter, using a simple and clear touch screen menu selector, customers make their choice of service and receive a numbered ticket from the printer to reserve their turn. Rather than waiting in a queue, they are then free to browse the store until their number is announced on a visual display unit.
This visible display of efficiency up front aims to improve the shopping experience, removing the uncertainty that often leads to ‘walk-aways’ and therefore improve business at busy counters.
TURN-O-MATIC PRO also delivers important operational intelligence which helps retailers run their stores more efficiently. Data including the number of customers waiting, how long they have been waiting for, which particular service is in highest demand at a particular time and the duration of the service transaction is available at the touch of the button, giving store managers a vital insight into how different areas of the outlet perform and the effect they have on overall profitability.

The TURN-O-MATIC PRO system benefits from an ergonomically designed ticket printer with an easy-access 45 degree angled touch screen. On a basic level, TURN-O-MATIC PRO operates as a stand-alone network, driven by an embedded software system contained in a system router or central IP unit. It can also be connected to the LAN or wireless networks and be linked with video output to LCD/LED monitors or televisions.
