Merchandise Visibility Project Manager - Waltham, Mass.
Job Summary:
The Merchandise Visibility Project Manager oversees Checkpoint’s Merchandise Visibility Solution implementations in North America and Europe to ensure a successful implementation for both the customer and Checkpoint. This position will lead a combination of internal teams to implement the Solution, including Labels, RFID hardware, R&D (when applicable) and software configuration and customization to ensure customer satisfaction and success. The Program manager must be comfortable and experienced working with customer executives to manage the customer to success.
Primary Responsibilities:

Works with the customer to define project goals, objectives, scope and planned ROI. Continually focuses the project team and the customer on the goals and measures of success.

Manages the client relationship, and serves as the client’s main point of contact.

Plans, organizes, leads, and monitors the activities of the project teams.

Develops project plans for assigned projects, including work breakdown and milestones, and maintain overall control of the schedule and the delivery of all expected deliverables.

Tracks any decisions made regarding requests for scope changes and outstanding items.

Provides clear and compelling direction and develop mechanisms for team accountability. Builds project team effectiveness and project efficiency, and provides technical leadership to the team.

Communicates the project status to the Client and internally to stakeholders.

Ensures project milestones are achieved by timely resolution and/or escalation of issues, assuring appropriate priorities are assigned to project tasks, and that team clearly understands milestones.

Manages the project budget by pro-actively tracking actual costs against estimated costs and delivers projects within budget.

Leads Requirements Workshops with the customer to determine and document the customer’s business needs and scope.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.

5 - 7 years experience in Program Management, leading million dollar plus engagements, with proven ability to deliver customer success.

Knowledge of apparel retail vertical and/or supply chain required, experience with RFID is plus.

Proven work experience in the areas of computer science or engineering, preferred.

Must be an active team player willing to do “whatever it takes” to ensure project success

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Strong project management skills, and must excel at Client Management.

Willingness to travel up to 20% is required.
