Senior Field Service Representative - Birmingham, Ala.
Checkpoint’s Banking division offers a wide range of electronic banking security products including branch alarms, CCTV and access control systems; drive in windows, drawers and audio; drive-in remote systems and full-service ATM’s.
The Senior Field Service Representative is responsible for performing semi-complex installations and preventive and corrective maintenance on standard security equipment and systems.
Primary Responsibilities:

Performs semi-complex installations, periodic preventive and corrective maintenance on entire banking product line for financial institution customers in metro Birmingham and Tuscaloosa areas.

Includes products such as alarms, video, access control, remote drive-in units, and various physical security products - especially competitive equipment.

Installs a moderate range of products and systems within standard time and cost allowances at customer locations.

Troubleshoots products and systems to identify and correct mechanical and electronic malfunctions. Modifies and/or updates products and systems as required.

Develops professional customer relations and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction within assigned territory.

Maintains parts inventory, tools, manuals, publications and equipment.

Prepares and processes detailed service product failure and expense reports.

Maintains company vehicle and parts inventory.

Handles routine paperwork, computer aided tasks, including using and troubleshooting with laptop.

Continually develops technical knowledge, customer relations and administrative skills through formal training programs, on-the-job training and self-study.
Job Requirements:

2 year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Minimum of 10 years field experience in related parts of our business

Previous experience working with burglar, access control, CCTV and physical banking industry equipment.

Ability to learn complex diagnostic techniques and perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on sophisticated electronic security systems.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Computer proficiency and strong aptitude for numbers

Attention to detail and proven ability to produce quality work.

Ability to work independently the majority of the time; and can also work in a team environment.

Excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate technical issues to customers.

Previous experience with Mosler, Diebold, ADT or similar companies, preferred

Valid driver’s license in current state of residence.

Ability to work overtime, some weekends and holidays, and be on-call, as required on a rotation basis.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and 25-55 lbs overhead.

Ability to work on ladders
-
Ability to travel up to 50-60% to customer and company locations.
